Forde Park Pavilion

With the help of generous donations from local businesses and individuals, awards from postcode and national lotteries, the goodwill from hmad|architects and a sizeable grant from Devon County Council this project has transformed the existing pavillion into a vibrant, well used café catering for all park users. Staffed by adults with special needs and volunteer helpers, the new café has become a welcome addition to the features of Forde Park, and has provided much needed employment opportunities as well.

Dating from the mid 20th century, Forde Park Pavillion located in the Forde Park Conservation area of Newton Abbot, Devon is of special interest and character to the park and the local area.
The plans included some small scale alterations to the current building to preserve and
enhance its special interest and character.

Externally, the development includes the provision of a new access route suitable for disabled staff and customers, and a raised terrace area to the front of the building for everyone to enjoy.
